Altruism-is the principle of concern for the welfare of others.                                                       Pro-social behaviour-is any action intended to help. One motivation for prosocial behaviour is altruism, or the desire to help with no expactation or reward.                                                                

Evolutuonary explanation-Darwin argues that altruism should be seen as what is advantages to the group the person belongs to, rather that what is the advantageous alone. This means there is a survival advantage displaying selfness
