The study included two similar but seperate experiments, investigating the influence of leading questions. In experiment one, 45 students were in groups of varying sizes, each group watched seven film clips of traffic accidents, lasting between five and thirty seconds. Following each film clip, participants were given a questionnaire asking the first to 'give an account of the accident you have just seen' and then to answer specific questions about the accident.
