Developmental psychologists are fascinated by how infants percieve the world around them- one of the most resarched aspects is whether infants can percieve depth at birth. This has been the focus for the nature- nurture debate ( inbornt or learnt?).
-Nativists believe we are born with certain capacities such as the ability to perceive depth, some of these may develop as we mature (maturation). Nurturists believe we awuire abilities through our expieriences. Interactionists believe behaviour is a result of both.
