Protein Synthesis

Cells make or synthesis protein by the joining together of 2 amino acid units in the same order.
Proteins have a complicated shape.
If they have the wrong shape they cannot perform their job correctly.
DNA makes sure that the correct number of amino acid units joins together in the right order.
GENES ARE SECTIONS OF DNA. EACH GENE HAS THE CODE FOR CREATING A SPECIFIC PROTEIN. EACH GENE ACTS AS A CODEOR SET OF INSTRUCTIONS.
The more amino acids joined together, the larger the molecule.
peptides- 2-20 amino acids.
polypeptides-21-50 animo acids.
PROTEINS CONTAIN MORE THAN 50 AMINO ACIDS.
