Power of PM and Cabinet
- Executive far more powerful under Tony Blair in early 2000s, easily getting anti terror reforms in Parliament
- However recentely Executive has been very limited by Parliament, biggest defeat of government ever in 2019
- PM is also foreign policy leader so can conduct foreign policy independant of parliament, 2011 Cameron commited air strikes in Lybia
- However in more modern day PM usually seeks the approval of Parliament, 2013 Parliament voted against air strikes in Syria, PM listened
- Executive can force a Parliament into a certain position, May in 2017 calling a snap general election
- However Parliament bit back from this, hung Parliament making executive very weak as a result
