Anti-Natalist

China- One Child Policy

Anti-Natalist is when you are against the birth of too many children because the country is overpopulated. In 1979 China introduce the 'one child policy' this meant that those with one child have better benefits, housing and maternity leave; wheras those with more than one child have no bennefits and are fined. There is a relaxation in the rule if you have a girl however it is evidently going to be disproptional men to wormen in the future- causing breeding problems. You may also have another child if both parents are only children themselves or one has a disabiltiy- they can then have a second child to look after them.

400 million births have been prevented because of the policy and the fertility rate has dropped from 5.7 to 1.8

Many debates have been brought up
