Left + Right wing terror

The left wing were punished harshly whilst the right wing was sympathised with. This weakened the Republic.

The left wing were more likely to receive death sentence and longer jail sentence than the right.

Freikorp on the right, killed more people. 

1919 - 1922 - 376 political murders,this include prominent members in Parliament.

Hugo Hasse is murdered in 1919 - moderate left wing - Ebert Councillar 

Matthias Erzberger ( signed the armistice on 11th November) - was shot - we can infer he has been killed by a right wing.

Walther Rathenau - foreign Minister - top rank position was machine gun in Berlin, on the way to work, on the street in 1922. 

Most victims were leftwing or moderate

Not one right wing extremists sent to death…
