Poetry Conventions Part 2.

Rhyme isn't the only trick used to make poetry exciting. Poets use rhythm as well.

Rhythm is important in Poetry.

A lot of poetry follows a rhythm pattern. There might be a fixed pattern of syllables on each line. If a line has too many syllables, it won't fit with the rest of the verse.

Jack and Jill went up the hill                                                                                                             To fetch a pail of water                              …
