How does a light microscope work?

In light microscope, the light passes through the object and then through the magnifying lens- making the object appear bigger than it really is.

Biologists use microscopes to learn about the structure and the function of cells.

Which features do plant and animal cells have in common?

Cell membrane- seperates the contents of the cell and its surroundings. It also controls the movement of substances like oxygenm carbon dioxide and glucose into and out of the cell.
