Nuclear energy is when large nuclear atoms hat contain chemial energy are split to produce useful heat energy. It is renewable.

Nuclear fusion is when Hydrogen atoms in the sun are broken into pieces, which smash into each other at high speeds. This makes the pieces of Hydrogen atoms join together and form helium. Each time this happens, some mass is lost tha reappears as energy. (non-renewable)
