SPEED - measured in m/s

VELOCITY - speed in a given direction e.g. a cyclist travelling north at 30 m/s has a different velocity to a cyclist travelling south at the same speed due to the different direction. (measured in m/s)

Time is always plotted on the horizontal axis & distance on vertical axis

Gradient of a line represents its speed
