  1. All objects absorb and emit infrared radiation: emission is just as important as absorption 

 

All objects emit (give out) and absorb infrared radiation. 

It does not matter what temperature the object is: the statement above is always true. 

Hotter objects emit more radiation in a given time with a shorter wavelength than cooler objects. 

A good absorber of radiation is also a good emitter of radiation.
