Carbon Dioxide + Water -----> Glucose + Oxygen

CO2 + H2O ----> C6H12O6 + O2

6CO2 + 6H2O -----> C6H12O6 + 6O2

What happens to the products:

Oxygen:

  • Used in respiration
  • Released into air

Glucose:

  • Used to make cellulose for cell walls
  • Stored as starch
  • Stored as fats and oiils
  • Used as energy for respiration
  • Used to make proteins
