Photosynthesis is the chemical reaction occuring in plants in which carbon dioxide and water, in the presence of light and chlorophyll, are converted into glucose and oxygen.

CO2 + water -------> C6H12O6 + oxygen
(Light)
There are three limiting factors of photosynthesis. These factors affecting the rate of photosynthesis are: light, temperature and carbon dioxide concentration. Changing these three factors to their optimum will increase the rate of photosynthesis.
