Carbon dioxide + Water → Glucose + Starch

  • Carbon dioxide is found in the air
  • Water is found in the soil

Plants are producers, this means that they convert sunlight into glucose to be used for growth & energy.

The sunlight is converted into glucose due to chlorophyll. This is a green pigment that plants use to pick up energy
