  • He also came of as short-tempered yet devoted friend to Lennie; the first interaction beteen them consists of George giving a firm warning to Lennie not to drink so much as he could get sick, "Lennie. You gonna be sick like you was last night", which sets the nature of their relationship- although he may be impatient his primary purpose is too protect Lennie
