Milgrams Research into Obedience-

-Forty male participants
-One confederate, one real participant, drew lots, the real participant would always be the teacher.
-Teacher had to "learn" the confederate word pairs, when the wrong answer was given the participant had to administer a shock.(started at 15v, went up by 15v each time and highest was 450v) No real shocks, audio tapes were played.
-Experimenter encouraged participants to continue.
-100% of p's went up to 300v, 65% went up to 450v

✓Replicated in many other countries. Highly reliable.
xExposed participants to high levels of stress, ethically unacceptable.
