Cheka - Commission for Combating Counter-Revolution and Sabotage was established in december 1917, this groupd became the most feared throught the duration of the Russian Civil War. Due to the leader Felix Derzhinsky who took over in december 1918, a statue of his was errected in the Red Square until 1991.
