Isaac Newton commented on the impacts and factors of unbalanced and balanced forces in his laws of motion. There are three laws of motion. 

Newton's First Law

Newton's First Law states that objects with balanced forces acting upon them, will stay in constant motion or at rest. They will continue to do what they are doing until an unbalanced force comes into play or one of the forces becomes greater/smaller than the others acting upon the object. The unbalanced force may then cause an object to move or it will change the speed at which it is travelling.
