My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that the main objective of education is to enhance better living for children through producing critical thinkers and lifetime learners, who are morally upright, resilient, and responsible citizens. I value education that equips children with life skills rather than just mastery of subjects, education that engages a child in a learning process to maximize his/her potential. Most children are egocentric, perceptions oriented; and are constantly in the process of mastering their thinking capabilities of variability and reversibility.

A child’s background matters a lot to his/her learning process. As a teacher, I must understand cultural backgrounds of each and every child before developing my knowledge dispensation methods.

I believe that socio-economic structures of a child’s family have a direct impact on his/her development, thus enabling home environment to create an atmosphere conducive for his/her education and development of lifelong skills. Consequently, a child’s learning process can be assessed by observing the level of enthusiasm portrayed by the child individually. Enthusiasm begins with positive attitude created towards learning respective skills or disciplines.
