The unlawful killing of a reasonable person in being under the Queen's peace with malice aforethought 


There may be many lawful reasons for death. The homicide can be made lawful by using a compete defence such as self-defence. 


Killing is the accelaration of death i.e.  bringing forward the time of their death from the time it should have been (R v Adams)

The killing can occur through a positive act or an omission- 5 Omissions:
