Osmosis

Osmosis is the movement of water from a dilute solution to a more concentrated one.

So the concentration of the high concentrated one is diluted down by the water.

When the solutions have equal amounts of water and solutes, it is isotonic.

When the solution has a high concentration, it is hypertonic.

When the solution has a low concentration, it is hypotonic.
