Momentum: EXPLOSIONS

if the object eg ( a cannon) is RECOILING- it means it is going in the opposite direction.

IN EXPLOSIONS: there is EQUAL AND OPPOSITE MOMENTUM

this means: (mass of A x velocity of A) = - (mass of B x velocity of B) = 0

the minus sign shows that the MOMENTUM of B is OPPOSITE to the momentum of A.
