**Momentum is basically mass in MOTION.**

**MOMENTUM of MOVING OBJECT (Kg m/s) = MASS (kg) x VELOCITY (m/s)**

**P= M x V**

**where:**

**P= Kg, metres/second**

**M= mass in Kg**

**V= speed in m/s**

eg calculate the momentum of a sprinter of mass 50Kg running at a velocity of 10m/s.

- mass= 50kg
- velocity= 10m/s
**= 50 x 10= 500 Kg m/s.**
