Module B1 - Respiration

HideShow resource information

Respiration is the process by which energy is released from glucose, which happens in every body cell.

(The energy released by respiration is used for things like building proteins and other large molecules, contracting muscles, and homeostasis).

Aerobic respiration happens when there is plenty of oxygen being pumped to the muscles, and is the most efficient way of releasing energy.
