Eukaryotic Cell Contents;
Animal:plasma membrane, smooth ER, rough ER, golgi apparatus, ribosomes, mitochondria, nucleus, nucleolus, lysosomes, cytoplasm and a nuclear envelope.
Plant: contains all of the above as well as a cell wall, a vacuole and chloroplasts.
Functions:
Plasma Membrane- made out of lipids and proteins and it regulates movement of substances in and out of cells.
Rough ER- covered in ribosomes and it folds and processes proteins.
Smooth ER- Synthesises and processes lipids.
Golgi Apparatus- they are fluid-filled flattened sacs, that make lysosomes and also processes and packages proteins and lipids.
