The following key words are ways in which famillies socialise their children:
- Deliberate Instruction - This is where a child's family tells them what, how and why to do something. For example, they could say "I want you to put all of your toys in the box".
- Positive Sanctions - It is when a child is given a reward - either verbally and/or physically - for behaving correctly so they are more likely to repeat the behaviour again
