Oestrogen - produced by the ovaries (egg follicles). Stimulates the release of LH and causes the thickening of the wall.
Progesterone - produced by the corpus lutem. Maintains the wall of the uterus and inhibits LH and FSH.
LH - produced by the pituary gland. Triggers ovulation.
FSH - produced by the pituary gland. Allows an egg follicle to form.
