Young people are more easily inflienced by violence in the media as they are more easily inflienced and have a lack of life esperience so therefore dont have the filter to filter our violence. Children are now livinf in a media saturated society.

New Media>Children desensitised as they are now exposed to more violence as media is more easily accesable e.g youtube is easily accesable.

A03-Too deterministic not everyone who watches a violent video game/ movie is going to be influenced. BUCKINGHAM- Children are media literate.

CASE STUDY 1-James Bulger

*Murder of James Bulger was blamed on the chukdren watching anc copying scenes from the film childs play 3.

10 year old killers supposindly saw the film and imitated a scene where a victim is splasd with blue paint.

CASE STUDY 2- Columbine high school massacre

*School schooting  by two senior stufents- murdered a total of 12 students and one teacher.
