Measures of Central Tendency


• Statistical average

• Calculated by adding up all the scores and dividing them by the number of scores

• Use; Take following raw data where we’ve measured the height of 5 people

• Good for; most powerful measure of tendency, using all number

• Bad for; can be distorted by extreme scores which is unrepresentative data


• The middle
