We are entirely physical beings, blindly programmed "survival machines", products of evolution and DNA mutation. Genes work to develop self-awareness, which is not due to a soul, but simply present because it has evolutionary advantages

To argue we have a soul is an evasion which triess to explain consciousness witout putting forward any evidence.
