Nearly 90% of failing schools are located in deprived areas
1. HOUSING
Poor housing can affect pupils' achievement both DIRECTLY and INDIRECTLY
DIRECTLY -
- makes it harder for the child to revise/study/be mentally ready to learn if e.g. they havent got enough room to study/get disturbed sleep
- less room for educational activities e.g. homework
- not having enough room leads to a lack of safe play & exploration,…
