Summary of the story.

John the baptist baptised jesus in the river jordon, When jesus came out of the water he saw the heavens open and a dove as the holy spirit come down up on him." you are my own dear son i am pleased with you" the spirit said. Then the spirit sent jesus into the desert, where he stayed for 40 days and 40 nights , being tempted by satan. there were wild animals there aswell as the angels who helped jesus .

This story is important because jesus took on the sins of humanity and it represents the beginning of jesus' ministry and you could say it was a water shed moment in jesus' life.
