The motor Effect:

The interaction between the magnetic field of the current carrying wire and the magnetic fied of the magnet creates a force on the wire. This makes the wire move. If we change the direction of the current or reverse the poles of the magnet it reverses the direction of the force. 

Flemings Left Hand Rule:

The direction of the force and movement of the wire can be determined using Fleming's left hand rule. Point you forefinger (index) in the direction of the magnetic field (south) and point your second finger in the direction of the current (positive to negative…
