Loud - Feminine Gospels

?

Loud

exploring the lack of a female voice in politics. Presents the argument that the 'righteous' rage of an individual woman is in fact, a force of nature. Margret Thatcher was the first female Prime Minister (1979-2000) and only in more recent years, after the gospels were published did the UK see anpther female Prime Minister in power.

Structure:

cylical structure through the "News" suggests that nothing has changed, there is still a lack of female voice in politics - Margret Thachter seems to be the only voice Duffy and other women hear.

Enjambment suggests that her voice will never die or be restrained now she has found her voice.

The listing effect throughout sounds similar to a chant - chants get louder and faster suggesting that the womans voice is getting louder & stronger.
