Long Term Effects on exercising

  • Reduces stress on the heart – doing more exercise means the heart does fewer but stronger beats compared to an unfit person this means less stress on the exertion places on the heart
  • Increase elasticity of the blood vessels – due to repeated changes in blood pressure
  • Increased number of capillaries in muscles and alveoli's – means more gas is exchanged to cover
