Indicator Species- Organism whose presence indicates the presence or absence of certain types of pollution.

• green bushy lichens - need really clean air
• leafy lichens - can survive a small amount of air pollution
• crusty lichens - can survive in more polluted air

1. independent variable - distance

dependent variable - number of species

2. positive relationship between the diatsnce from the city centre and the amount of lichen

3. furthwr away you are from the city centre the less pollution there is due to the increased amount of lichen

4. repeat in a different city, repeat during different seasons throughout…
