Aim
- An observation to investigate gender differences in helping behaviour with regards to holding a door open for another person or not; will there be a difference in door holding behaviour between males and females?
Procedure
- Participants were 16-18 year olds males and females who were all KEDST students. We used an opportunity sample.
- We conducted a pilot study where we found an appropriate place to conduct the experiment and we decided as a group that "holding the door open" is a body part touching the door while someone is walking through the threshold.
