Urban Land Use

Burgess Model

CBD: - Land use: businesses (offices), entertainment, main transport stations, shops

         - Land is expensive and there is a lack of space. Therefore buildings are built upwards rather than outwards.

Transitional zone:- Ex industrial areas around CBD, often near rivers.
