Overview
An experiment which is conducted in a 'special environment'. In this type of environment the variables are closely and carefully controlled.
Participants are aware that they are taking part in an experiment, however they do not know the true aims of the study
- Participants may behave differently/alter behave if they knew the aims, as they may try to simply do what they think the experimenter wants them to do. This may also be because they know they are being recorded.
