Types of Processing

Batch processing: this is where data is collected in groups or batches before processing. It is usually a periodic thing, done weekly, monthly, or yearly.
Not much interaction between the user and the computer.
e.g: Payroll Bac System - the pay is calculated for the whole month, then output is the wageslip for the employee.
