Infancy 0-2 years

Gross motor skills develop more rapidly in infancy 
(cephaulo- caudal , develops first)

Social development starts in infancy

Uncoordinated

Primitive reflexes (rooting,startle,grasp and walking)

They can smell , taste , hear and blink

The reflexes dissapear in a few months

Fine motor skills develop slower than gross motor skills 
(Proximo-distal , develops secondly)  

2 months - can hold head up , reconise mother

4-5 months…
