In what ways were the discoveries of Andreas Vesalius and William Harvey similar?

Firstly, Veslaius and Harvey were similar because of the role that since played in their discoveries about the anatomy of the human body which becna both be considered to be breththroughts in the development of surgery during the Renaissance Period. Vesalius carried out dissections, and by doing so, discovered that Galen had made over 200 mistakes about human anatomy. In a similar way, Harvey has varied dissections - he studied the heart and realized it was a pump of blood and tht blood only flows through the body in one direction. This showed that Galen was yet again wrong, as he believed blood was created in the liver, and burnt like a fuel in the body. This is an example of both individuals using the scientific approach - observation and experimentation - to help in the development of medicine during the Renaissance Period.
