Health is a state of mental, physical and social wellbeing, not just the absence of disease.

Disease is a departure from good health caused by a malfunction of the mind or body.

A parasite is an organism that lives in or on another living thing, causing harm to its host.

A pathogen is an organism that causes disease.

HIV/AIDs is caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. The virus may remain dormant inside the person for a very long time.  Once the virus becomes active it destroys T helper lymphocytes in the immune system which weakens the immune system making way for a range of opportunistic diseases such as Tuberculosis.

HIV can be transmitted through a number of ways:

. Blood Transfusion.

.Using used needles.

.From mother to child…
