Momentum and Collisions

Momentum (kgm/s) = Mass(kg) x Velcity(m/s)

The greater the mass of an object the greater it's velocity and the more momentum the object has. Momentum is a vector Quantity- it has size and direction.

P= momentum

M= mass

V= velocity

Forces cause changes in Momentum

Force Acting (N) = change in momentum (kgm/s) / Time
