On 6 June, the defendant offered to sell his farm for £1,000 and, in reply, the claimant offered to buy it for £950. On 27 June, the defendant refused the claimant's offer of £950 and, on 29 June, the claimant, by letter, agreed to pay £1,000. However, the defendant did not indicate any agreement to the offer to pay £1,000.
