Relations with the Holy Roman Empire to 1521

H had built an alliance with Max in 1513 and co-operated with the emperor during the first war against France.
Anglo-Imperial relations remainded on a steady footing and Max was one of the signatoies of the Treaty of London, however, Max's death three months later underminded the principles of peace. 
The growth of the English cloth trade to flanders confirmed the benefits of sustained Anglo-Imperial co-operation.
