Hurricanes are a form of natural disaster. They form over the oceans 5 and 15 degrees north and south of the Equator. The temperature of the water needs to be at least 26.5 degrees c and 60m deep. The reason hurricanes spin, is the trade winds, these spiral into the storm at these points because of the Earths rotation.
