B lymphocytes produce a specific antibody that responds to one specific antigen.

  • The antibody binds to a complementary antigen.
  • The antigen enters the B cell by endocytosis and gets presented on it's surface.
  • Tcells bind to the processed antigens and stimulates B cells to divide (clonal selection).
