H2 : hydrogen gas with a splint lighted
A squeaky pop will be recited.
The noise is from hydrogen burning head to toe,
With oxygen in the air to produce H2O

O2 : oxygen with a splint glowing
Will relight it several times before slowing.

NH3: ammonia, or in fact NH3
Damp red litmus paper holds the key.
